I wish to set up Microsoft Office 2003. Do I want to very first un-install the Microsoft workplace 2002 (XP) which I am currently employing, ahead of I install the Microsoft Office 2003?

NOPE – just put in the new system and set up it – all your prior documents and settings will be retained.

If you have the original disk for the two then I would delete the old plan. However there is Open Workplace that reads and writes in MS Company Documents, and is significantly greater and it can be totally free. the link is http://www.openoffice.org

usually it will say in the installation instructions whether or not its needed, either way the old version will no longer be needed so why not just do it anyways?
