There’s a personal computer I am fascinated in purchasing from the regional classifieds wherever I dwell thats listed as a Custom made GAMING Computer for $ 300. I’ve always desired a gaming Computer but could not pay for $ one thousand+ that I see them likely for. I’ve got $ 300 just but I don’t know significantly about gaming PCs and would just like to know if this is well worth buying or not.
The listing reads:
SOYO KT600 Motherboard
512 MBytes RAM
ATI RADEON 9800 Pro 128mb Video Card
AMD 3200+ Athlon XP Processor
SONY DVD RW DRU-530A
SONY CD-ROM Drive
Innovative Labs Audigy LS Sequence 7.one 24bit Sound Card
one hundred fifty G SATA Hd

Microsoft Windows XP Pro (Activated Clear Set up) w/ Service Pack two
Microsoft In addition Digital Media Version
Microsoft Business office 2003
PowerDvd
DvdDecrypter
Nero Ultra Version
WarCraft III
Full With Anti Virus and Spyware protection

I just want a quick personal computer I can play games on. Really should I get this computer and is it well worth $ 300? Any guidance or data, remember to?

This is by no means a “gaming computer” nonetheless will perform most modern day games but on a quite low setting.
Thats why its 300 dollars.

For $ 300 that isnt a bad deal, but is certainly not a gaming pc, for gaming you will need more RAM (1 gig and up should be good for the newer games) and a better vid card.

Everything sounds good except for the memory, the graphics card and the CD and DVD drives. You should consider 1GB or more of RAM. The graphics card should be a bit better. I would wait for Vista (jan 30 2007) if I were you. The CD/DVD drives should be able to burn DVD or CD -Rs: they’re cheaper and play in more places. It’s way worth $ 300. For more info on Vista, visit http://www.microsoft.com/windowsvista/experiences/default.mspx
Try to get a good keyboard and mouse, too. I personally like wireless. And if you’re going to get an LCD screen, try for one that has good refresh rates to avoid “ghosting.”

yeah, it’s worth the money, but it’s not a gaming pc.
the graphic is just 128mb and you’ll need at least 256mb for new games on ‘average’ settings.
also the ram should be at least 1 gb for games.

It is a good deal. I would upgrade the ram when you can to the maximum the computer will take more than likely 2gb and get a better video card. But you can play most games with this computer. My video card is only 64mb and games look good to me. I actually see no difference between my card and one I installed in a friends computer that was 256mb. But I do know some newer games require it. I mostly play Neverwinter Nightsm and Halo.
