You only updated one of your programs didn’t you. You do so much in the video without explaining it.

Avira free + Zonealarm free + SuperAntiSpyware free + Winpatrol = You will never get a virus again.

Sorry guys, I didn’t mean to bore you with my long-winded story.

Well, I successfully removed the threat with Microsoft Security Essentials as per suggestion from a friend. And I tell you guys, it was a very effective tool. It found a Backdoor and a “VirTool” (or probably a virus tool).

5 months and counting, still using MSE along wih Threatfire.

Also, I used to be an avid Avira fan until the day a very nasty threat infiltrated Avira’s guard. It started when I unconsciously plugged a USB stick containing hundreds of malware. Avira kept on popping out that it detected threats until such time something get injected in one of the system’s service and finally disabled Avira’s guard.

Even the mighty silent Windows Defender started to become interactive and alerted me that a backdoor is present on my system until such time it got terminated.

Congrats Languy on your Youtube partnership!.

Yeah guys, Avira’s Antivir Guard (Real-Time Guard) is running into some sort of problems on version 10 while version 9 isn’t. In fact, Avira used to be the greatest headache for most malware coders in the past since their heuristics engine seems to be very accurate that they actually spend more days in front of their computers just to bypass Antivir’s heuristics. But now, seems like they’ve really run into some problems.

@idodo60 : I don’t find one reviewer to be “better” than another. Just different.
Each tester is interesting in their own way.

@Rockboy58 Personally, I never felt like Avira was really good. It got strong signatures, but all new malware is trying to bypass them, and Avira really offers nothing but signatures. Relying on signatures only is a mistake.

@bananaabe Has it really fallen that low? I never thought it would suck that bad. I guess i should stick with Kaspersky, especially since it’s my favorite AV.
