@winlee09 – when you use the Refine Edge command, you have several options for either new layers, new layer with mask, or even new document. To add a background, you would create a separate layer, and place it below the selection you made with Refine Edge.

Hi, after clicking on refine edge the radius tool and the whole edge adjustment is blocked, I cannot work with… please help !

@81GPAT – if the brush is pulling too much information out, hold the Option key (on a Mac), or the ALT key (on a PC) to reverse the effect. You will also need to adjust the Edge Detection settings (you probably don’t need as high a value as I use in the video).
