I recently purchased a new computer (HP m8300f Pavilion Desktop) , which came with Windows Vista. I installed Adobe Creative Suite Production Studio Premium and did not have any problems. But when I go to open a new project in Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0, the program stops responding. It won’t let me do anything after that point. This has happened multiple times. Is there a patch available? Does anyone have any suggestions on how to run Adobe Premiere Pro 2.0 more effectively on Windows Vista? I purchased the program when I was still in school and had my student discount. I really don’t want to purchase new software when I was perfectly happy with this version of Premiere Pro on my last computer.

Adobe does the same thing on mine to it loads then freezes and something comes up about purchasing it. It use to be free cause i never purchased it on my other computers. And its what my professors use for all my classes.

Better off running it on XP Pro. There is a LOT of stuff that doesn’t run well on Vista. I have a feeling that XP will be around for a while yet due to customer demand.

The edu version is fine until you want to use if for professional work – then you are legally bound to pay for a Pro license. – Adobe does do software audits.

The other better alternative is Mac with Final Cut Pro Studio.
