Okay men/women,
I need to have help!
So I am wanting to sing a cover of this song on my laptop and I am very troubled on how other individuals do it.
I was thinking of just ordering an USB mic on the web and then taking part in the songs from my laptop computer speakers and singing it whilst making use of audio recorder.

You’re not going to be happy with the quality playing the music on the speakers, and trying to record it with the mic if it will even do it. But you can record multiple tracks in Audacity–put the song on a couple of those, and then sing along on a third track (once you get Audacity, you’ll see how to do it, it’s not hard at all).
Also, if your system is like most, plugging in a mic cuts the speakers, so you’ll need a pair of headphones. Stay away from using the mic on a mic and headset combination–on most of those, the mic is really not good for singing.
